OUTREACH
Sound Session is not only a renowned chamber ensemble, but also a group filled with passionate educators who want to invest in the next generation of musicians. Below you can see images from some of Sound Session’s outreach work with public schools and communities around Michigan. We encourage students to engage with musical knowledge through our communication and presentation of chamber music in a form both enjoyable and professional.

Sound Session with Professor Joe Lulloff after presenting SOUNDscapes: an hour-long program of music depicting and inspired by nature. In partnership with the "Music and Garden Series," this concert was free and open to the public in the beautiful W.J. Beal Botanical Gardens.

Sound Session is driven to bring saxophone chamber music to Michigan's high schools. Here we are with the students of Zeeland's two high schools, with previous touring and outreach performances including the Grandville and Kentwood districts in metro Grand Rapids.

Partnering with the Vintage Parlor Orchestra of Grand Rapids, Sound Session presents a concert in the "Live at the Park" series in Holland, MI with a twist: an upbeat and educational audience participation experience with three members learning the basics of saxophone playing with actual horns graciously sponsored by Meyer Music.
